Are you a “Cholamandalam Auto-insurance” holder? BEWARE!!!!, You may be in Shock to find out that the Auto-details on your Auto Insurance certificate may be completely incorrect, hence making your Insurance Certificate illegal in court or accident claims.
I was under impression of having a good insurance cover for last two years. It was only coincidently uncovered to my surprise that all details of my car such as My Vehicle ID #, Engine #, Year of Manufacture, Place of registration had been incorrectly recorded by Chola representatives in hurry to grab business. ALL have been wrong for lat two years. This also means I did NOT have any legal insurance if there would have been an accident, or a court case. Logically, I have paid a sum of around Rs.25000/- for last years without any type of legal insurance cover.
Surprisingly, CHOLA is completely careless about this as far as accepting their error. They are very bold WITHOUT any apology in saying, “It is Customer’s duty to check each and every details of the certificate including Body#, Engine #, Year of Mfg, Place of registration. It is hard to understand, Why the customers are charged the ADMIN and Processing fees, if Insurance company representatives do not do their job well. Can they finally throw up their hands in air saying “Customer’s are fully responsible for something that the Insurance recorded incorrectly? Does it become customer's responsibility to check all the details including car engine number, body number, yr of mfg, place of registration?
One of the Pune Manager “Sagar Pinjan” however tried helping me to a certain extent. However he said his hands are tied as he is NOT supposed to entertain any of my requests. He is also NOT supposed to convey to me any of his manager’s, regional head’s phone numbers. These Managers seem to take pride in hiding from customer complaints. They should know each paisa of their salary come from premium payments of customer’s like us.
As an Eye-Opener, I feel it is a good Samaritan duty to put forward my experience for the benefit of society.
PLEASE FORWARD THIS TO AS MANY FOLKS POSSIBLE so to check details on their so called Insurance certificate.
Their CRM's Customer Service (..??) department is just sitting on this matter. They are thinking that the customers very weak and they can not fight any case against an Insurance giant like CHOLA.
LET US PROVE THEM WRONG
